How we make money

ParentCare Ontario is free for families. It is a commercial site, and we want you to know exactly how it is paid for.

Where the money comes from

• Advertising shown on our pages.
• Featured placements paid for by retirement homes, home care agencies and accessibility contractors. Paid placements are always labelled "Featured".
• Referral fees from some providers when we pass on a family's request, with that family's consent.

What payment never changes

• Long-term care data: beds, waitlists, home type and inspections.
• Licence information for retirement homes.
• The content of our guides.

Long-term care homes cannot pay for placement on this site. You apply for long-term care through Ontario Health atHome, and we never charge families for anything.
