Who writes our content

Articles are written by the ParentCare Ontario editorial team and published by Otonabee Marketing.

Professional review

Guides about care, costs, health or legal topics are reviewed by a qualified professional, such as a registered nurse, registered social worker, occupational therapist or lawyer, before we publish them. Each reviewed guide names its reviewer and the date of review. Guides waiting for review are not published.

Data pages

Pages about individual homes are built from government sources. We present facts as published and link to the original source on every page. We do not rate or rank long-term care homes.

Independence

Advertisers and paying providers have no say over our guides or the government data we publish.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note significant changes on our corrections page.
